Introduction

Category 1 CEUs are now available to all NSGC members and non-members through the Journal of Genetic Counseling (JGC) CEU Program. This continuing education program has been pre-approved by the NSGC for a maximum of 1.0 (10 contact hours) Category 1 CEUs.

If you are a NSGC member, there is an annual registration fee of $50.00 to participate. Please make sure you are logged in to the website to receive the membership rate.

If you are not a NSGC member, the annual registration fee is $125.

Participation Requirements

You must be able to access the Internet and the quiz program (Quia.com) that will be used to take quizzes after you have read the selected Journal of Genetic Counseling articles. To confirm that you can access the website prior to registering go to http://www.quia.com/web. If you can access the Quia home page you should be able to access the other pages. No downloading is necessary to use this website. Articles used in for the quizzes can be accessed via PubMed, or if you are a NSGC member, through this website.

To participate in the program, you must complete the registration process. It may take up to five business days for your registration to be processed. Once your registration has been processed, you will receive an e-mail from the NSGC Executive Office that contains the instructions and class code to access the quizzes on the Quia.com website. You will not be able to access the quizzes without this information.

Registration Process

You must register to participate with the NSGC office.

To pay by check, print and complete the registration form, available by clicking here. Send the completed registration form to the NSGC Executive Office with a check, made payable to NSGC, for the appropriate amount. Please write JGC CEU Program in the memo line on the check.

To pay by credit card online, click here. NSGC Members: Please make sure that you are logged into the NSGC website to access the discounted JGC CEU Program Member Rate of $50.00.

Once your registration has been received, you will be sent information on how to access and setup your account with the online quiz program within one week.

NSGC has been approved as an Authorized Provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET), 8405 Greensboro Drive, Suite 800, McLean, VA 22102. NSGC is authorized by IACET to offer up to 1 CEU or 10 contact hours for this program.
