2009 Regional Educational Opportunities

NSGC is pleased to announce that there will be two Regional Conferences in 2009!

The 2009 Regional Education Conferences are excellent opportunities to expand your knowledge, network with local colleagues, and obtain CEUs in the process. Located in Chicago, IL (April 3-4, 2009) and Bethesda, MD (April 17, 2009), the conferences will attract genetic counselors from a variety of cities and specialties. For this reason we have worked hard to plan a program sure to peak the interest of any counselor regardless of your area of practice. These events are particularly valuable for current students looking to network with their future colleagues.

After attending these conferences, participants will be able to:

  1. Incorporate new technologies used to obtain and interpret laboratory and/or clinical information.
  2. Identify some of the ethical, social and legal issues in genetic medicine.
  3. Describe recent developments in the field of medical genetics with respect to screening, diagnosis, management, and treatment.
