Annual Education Conferences and Short Courses

There are currently no more meeting rooms available on Sunday evening.  Please choose an alternate date or time.  All rooms requested after September 5, 2009 will not be published in the Onsite Program Book, due to printing deadlines.

 

SIG Meetings

Meetings for Special Interest Groups (SIGs) will be held throughout the week; days and times will vary. Meeting times will not interfere with educational sessions. As meeting dates and times are confirmed they will be posted online.

If you are the host of a SIG meeting, you can download the SIG Meeting Space Request Form.

Program Reunions and Other External Meetings

Reunions and other external meetings will take place throughout the week, with reunions typically occuring in the evenings. There is not a dedicated day for reunions. As reunion activities are confirmed they will be posted online.

If you are an exhibitor, the host of a program reunion or the host of an external group's meeting, you can download the Meeting Space Request Form.

Student and First-time Attendee Orientation

If you are a student or if this is your first time attending the NSGC Annual Education Conference, take the opportunity to meet other students and "first-timers." NSGC Board Members, Staff and veteran ateendees will provide overviews of the Society and the AEC and will offer suggestions on how to make the most of your AEC experience. This session will take place on Friday, October 24 from 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm.

NSGC Leadership/Volunteer Development

NSGC will hold the second annual Leadership/Volunteer Development Program from on Monday, October 27, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. All NSGC members are invited to attend and fi nd out how to get involved in NSGC! The goals of this program include identifying and developing future leaders and volunteers and make the NSGC volunteer experience more rich and meaningful. Participants of the program will be added NSGC’s Volunteer Database, which is used to call on volunteers for NSGC committees, projects, work groups, task forces and liaisons. All Short Course and AEC registered attendees will receive a detailed invitation to this program prior to arriving in Los Angeles.
