AEC Location Change FAQs:

Why is the AEC location being changed?
Due to delays in construction that impacted NSGC’s meeting space at the Hilton Pittsburgh, it became necessary for the Executive Office to investigate moving to an alternative location. The Hilton Pittsburgh has allowed NSGC to break our contract; the Hilton Corporation has assisted NSGC in finding space for the AEC at the Hilton Atlanta.

Can we meet at another location in Pittsburgh?
The Hilton Pittsburgh was the only hotel in the city that would have fully accommodated NSGC’s meeting space needs, thereby requiring other cities to be investigated when looking for alternative locations. NSGC will be looking closely at Pittsburgh and other east coast cities as a potential location for the AEC in the near future.

Why was the Hilton Atlanta chosen?
NSGC’s AEC has significantly grown in terms of our space needs over the past several years. Hilton Atlanta was the best option to meet our requirements regarding conference dates, meeting space, and room rates. While the Hilton Atlanta Web site indicates that renovations are currently underway, the area under construction does not impact the AEC meeting space. Hilton Atlanta renovations are scheduled to be complete in July, therefore not affecting the AEC.

What are some highlights of the new location - Atlanta, GA?
Highlights of the Hilton Atlanta include: free fitness center, affordable room rate, central meeting space, convenient location to city hot spots, easy access via MARTA (public transportation) from the international airport and more!
