Learn more about genomics and public health and earn an additional 1.2 CEUs by adding the 2006 Short Course to your list of things to do in Nashville.
It’s not too late to attend the 2006 Short Course, Beyond the Genome ... Beyond the Individual: Genomics and Public Health, taking place November 9-10 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville Tennessee. Registration is available on-site.

Climate & Suggested Attire
The weather in Nashville in November can be quite variable with average highs in the 60s and average lows in the 40s.
The Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center is entirely enclosed and climate controlled, however meeting rooms often tend to be cool, so a sweater or light jacket is recommended.
Suggested attire for the conference is business casual.

Child Care
Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center’s onsite childcare provider, La Petite Academy, is available for NSGC conference attendees.
Child care is available for children ages six months to 12 years.

Following your arrival and check-in at the resort, be sure to stop by the NSGC Registration Desk located in the Tennessee Ballroom Foyer in the Magnolia Section of the resort to pick up your conference badge and materials.

Badges
Name badges will be distributed at the Registration Desk and are required for attendance at all educational sessions, meal functions, and exhibits.
For your safety and security, it is recommended that you do not wear your badge when leaving the hotel.
CEUs
This event is co-sponsored by the American Counseling Association (ACA).
ACA is approved by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) to offer up to (1.2 CEU for the Short Course and 2.75 CEU for the AEC) or (12 hours for the Short Course and 27.5 hours for the main AEC) contact clock hours of continuing education credit.
ACA adheres to NBCC continuing education guidelines.
NBCC-approved contact hours will be provided by ACA.
ACA offers 10 contact hours for every one (1) continuing education unit, as approved by American Board of Genetic Counseling.

Companies and organizations with available jobs may post job descriptions on the Job Board located in the Exhibitor Suite.
Be sure to visit the Job Board to view available opportunities.
Material posted will be monitored by NSGC.
Message Center
Boards with push-pins will also be available in the Exhibitor Suite for registrants to leave messages for other conference participants.
