Twitter and Genetic Counseling: Engaging Each Other and Health Communities to Expand our Reach

As nearly 1.7 billion people have active social media accounts worldwide, with 304 million active users on Twitter alone, social media and Twitter represent tools with huge potential for genetic counselors to reach diverse audiences. Effective use can contribute to positioning of GCs across all specialties, roles and settings as leaders on issues related to the integration of genomics into healthcare practice. This webinar will focus on how we as GCs, regardless of role of specialty, can use social media, namely Twitter, to enrich our individual working lives, advance our profession and reach various audiences in the healthcare community.
