JEMF Student Manuscript Award
The Jane Engelberg Memorial Fellowship (JEMF) Advisory Group will award $500 for the best manuscript from a genetic counseling student-led research project previously submitted to the JEMF Advisory Group for funding. The JEMF Advisory Group will provide up to one (1) student manuscript award per year (Jan – Dec). The purpose of the award is to promote the continued professional development of genetic counseling students and recent graduates and improve the practice of genetic counseling by rewarding high-quality dissemination of scholarly work.
Eligibility & Requirements
To be considered for the JEMF Student Manuscript Award, the applicant must have applied for a JEMF Student Research Award in the past 5 years, had their research accepted for publication in a peer-reviewed journal and are currently an NSGC member. The applicant must be first, second or last author on the publication. It is not a requirement that the student have received initial funding from JEMF; only that they applied for the JEMF Student Research Award funding during their graduate training.
