NSGC Leadership Awards Program

As the leading voice, authority and advocate for the genetic counseling profession, the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) seeks to recognize our members who contribute to our society through their work on committees, task forces, SIGs, and as individual members. Through the continuous efforts of these dedicated members, NSGC is able to grow and achieve the strategic goals of our organization. The annual NSGC Leadership Awards Program recognizes the contributions of members who have gone above and beyond in their work on behalf of NSGC.

The NSGC Awards Subcommittee presents no fewer than six (6) awards annually to recognize the outstanding contributions and achievements of our members. Leadership Awards will be presented throughout the NSGC Annual Conference. The call for nominations is now closed.

If the member you nominate is selected to receive an NSGC Leadership Award, you will be asked to submit a short voice recording describing why you submitted your nomination. The NSGC Executive Office staff will work with you to draft a script and will provide detailed instructions on how to record. Your audio recording will be used in an awards video honoring your nominee that will be shown during the NSGC 37th Annual Conference in Atlanta, Georgia.

We will also be asking the award recipient to provide a voice recording accepting the award, for the video.

The NSGC Leadership Awards Program consists of six award categories:
