Join the NSGC 2026 Community Conversations, organized by the J.E.D.I. Stewardship Committee, as we explore SNVs in healthcare. This session will investigate the role genetic counselors can play in the implementation of pharmacogenomics (PGx) and polygenic risk scores (PRS) within their clinical practice. The presentation will include a discussion around the equity of both SNV and PRS validation as well as their implementation in clinical care and a review of case examples. Attendees will explore how they can advocate for implementation within their local practice setting and beyond and learn actionable takeaways on how to continue this discussion with their peers and implement changes to testing in their own institutions.
Community Conversations are live sessions exclusively for NSGC members to engage in learning and discussion around a topic focused on equity, diversity, and inclusion and encourage continued dialogue around the topic.
