Genetic Counselor Appreciation Day takes place on Thursday, Nov. 13 — and this year brings exciting news. What began in 2017 as Genetic Counselor Awareness Day has officially evolved into Appreciation Day, recognizing not only the importance of raising awareness but also celebrating the compassion, leadership and expertise of genetic counselors everywhere.

This annual celebration empowers genetic counselors to connect with their communities and institutions, while helping patients and the public better understand the critical role genetic counselors play in healthcare.
