Mission
The Immunology Special Interest Group aims to create a strong, supportive community grounded in peer mentorship, knowledge-sharing, and practical tools for genetic counselors who practice in or have an interest in immunology and/or adjacent clinical areas. This group endeavors to increase awareness of inborn errors of immunity (IEI) in the genetic counseling community, and accelerate the development of immunology-specific resources. There are more than 550 currently recognized inborn errors of immunity. We hope these efforts will allow the genetics community to better serve patients and families navigating the challenging journey that comes with an IEI diagnosis.
