Mission
The Psychiatric Disorders SIG aims to develop and advance the field of psychiatric genetic counseling by promoting awareness, providing education, and encouraging dialogue within NSGC, and with other groups such as researchers, patient advocacy groups, other healthcare providers, and affected individuals and their families. This SIG serves the interests of counselors who provide services for, or who are interested in disorders including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, major depression, ADHD, autism, anxiety disorders, panic disorders, alcoholism, addiction, OCD, and personality disorders.

- We create and collaborate on webinars to provide education to our SIG members about important topics related to psychiatric genetic counseling.
