Mission
The Renal Genetics SIG aims to build and promote a community of genetic counselors with a specialty and/or interest in renal genetics by increasing the visibility and accessibility of GCs to the nephrology community, providers and patients.
Objectives
- Provide access to a listserv (email) discussion group for peer consultation, networking, support, research/practice developments and other topics regarding renal genetics
- Promote the integration of genetic counseling into nephrology practice
- Compile, develop and distribute educational materials and resources for healthcare providers, students, patients and the public
- Develop and implement research ideas
