The mission of the Research SIG is to serve the needs of NSGC members performing research-related tasks and to promote the advancement of research in genetics and genetic counseling.
- Be part of a community engaged in genetic counseling research – find your mentor or mentee.
- Help the Research SIG identify and engage in projects that allow research genetic counselors to practice at the top of their skill.
- Apply for the Research SIG grant award or gain experience as a reviewer by serving on the grant committee.
- Collaborate on research projects, webinars, and conference proposals to help promote and foster genetic counseling research.
