NSGC 43rd Annual Conference Call for Abstracts Now Open
The National Society of Genetic Counselors and the Abstract Workgroup invite you to submit an abstract for the NSGC 43rd Annual Conference, taking place September 17-21, 2024 in New Orleans. All abstracts must be submitted by Monday, April 29. Check out our Call for Abstracts Resources Page to view resources for writing your abstract or to submit your abstract. NSGC 42nd Annual Conference Recordings Now Available for Purchase!
NSGC is excited to announce the release of the recordings packages for the 42nd Annual Conference which convened in last year Chicago, IL. For the first time, NSGC members will be able to purchase conference recordings directly through the Online Learning Center on the NSGC website.
Awards and Grants
Audrey Heimler Special Projects Award (AHSPA) Application Now Open
The AHSPA provides an annual award of up to $10,000 to one more genetic counselors for a project that focuses on the future of the genetic counseling profession and/or provision of genetic services. The deadline to apply for the AHSPA is May 13, 2024.

The mission of the Jane Engelberg Memorial Fellowship (JEMF) is to provide support for research by genetic counselor, to promote individual professional development and to drive innovation in the field of genetic counseling. J.E.D.I. Spotlight
Last month the Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (J.E.D.I.) Stewardship Committee hosted a webinar presenting updates on progress made thus far in the J.E.D.I. Action Plan and an overview of the 2024 J.E.D.I. Organizational Assessment being conducted by The Exeter Group. The J.E.D.I. Stewardship Committee was joined by representatives of the Education Committee, Membership Committee, Cancer SIG, Genomic Technologies SIG, and Prenatal SIG, who presented J.E.D.I. resources developed for NSGC members.
