Building an Effective Business Case: Expert Perspectives and Interactive Workshop
March 6, 2024; 12:00-1:00 p.m. (CT)
Genetic counselors with expertise in developing business cases for varied practice needs will present on their experiences in business case development and execution, including success and challenges. Attendees will have the opportunity to present on their own business case needs for discussion and receive input from panelists and fellow attendees. Attendees will be eligible to earn CEU’s for attending. Participants are encouraged to visit the NSGC Business Case Toolkit in advance of the workshop (Please note that an active NSGC login will be required).

The National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) has authorized NSGC to offer up to 0.1 CEUs or 1 Category 1 contact hours for the activity Building an Effective Business Case: Expert Perspectives and Interactive Workshop. The American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) will accept CEUs earned at this program for the purposes of genetic counselor recertification.

Stewardship Committee about updates related to NSGC’s J.E.D.I. Action Plan and 2024 J.E.D.I. Survey, and discover resources developed for genetic counselors, genomic healthcare professionals, educators, and students across disciplines as presented by partnering Committees and SIGs.
This event has been submitted to the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) for approval of Category 1 CEUs. The American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) accepts CEUs approved by NSGC for purposes of recertification. Approval for the requested CEUs and Contact Hours is currently pending.
JEMF Full Member, Student Research, and Student Manuscript Award Applications Now Open
The mission of the Jane Engelberg Memorial Fellowship (JEMF) is to provide support for research by genetic counselor, to promote individual professional development and to drive innovation in the field of genetic counseling. Audrey Heimler Special Projects Award (AHSPA) Application Now Open
The AHSPA provides an annual award of up to $10,000 to one more genetic counselors for a project that focuses on the future of the genetic counseling profession and/or provision of genetic services. The deadline to apply for the AHSPA is May 13, 2024.
2024 Membership Renewal Reminder
NSGC membership renewal is open for 2024! As you renew your membership, please take the time to update your NSGC member profile. The information you provide in your profile is utilized for important NSGC initiatives, such as the Professional Status Survey (PSS), our advocacy outreach efforts, and the Find A Genetic Counselor tool. Please note, some NSGC members have not been able to see a renew button on their profile due to a system glitch. We are presently working to fix this technical issue. Submit Feedback Using NSGC's Member Feedback Tool
NSGC introduced a new method of collecting feedback directly from membership as of January 2024, through the email@example.com inbox. We invite you to send your thoughts and suggestions to this email address, bringing your feedback directly to NSGC leadership. This resource will be instrumental in evaluating member needs and satisfaction and helps inform leadership decision making. (Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) Organizational Assessment Survey will be distributed to current NSGC members in 2024, following the completion of the PSS. This survey will include more focused questions around members’ attitudes, perceptions, and experiences regarding J.E.D.I. within NSGC. We look forward to your feedback!
